Susan G. Komen®, the world’s leading breast cancer organization, today announced that it will hold a MORE THAN PINK Walk in West Pennsylvania this spring. The Walk will replace the annual Race for the Cure event and be held in Schenley Park. “This is the 30th year Susan G. Komen has hosted an event in the iconic Schenley Park and we’re pleased to announce it will be a MORE THAN PINK Walk this year,” said Suzanne Corson, state executive director for Pennsylvania. “A MORE THAN PINK Walk is more inclusive of Komen’s supporters, some of whom are in active treatment, and better represents our mission – and we hope everyone will join us in May.” The MORE THAN PINK Walk will take place on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, 2022. For the first time ever, there will be no cost to participate in the Walk. The Power of ONE Week – a week’s worth of events to honor those who have been impacted by breast cancer – will precede the Walk on May 8. A schedule of events and additional details will be announced soon.
