Susan G. Komen®, the world’s leading breast cancer organization, today announced that it will hold a Race for the Cure in Research Triangle Park this spring. “We’re thrilled to be back at The Frontier RTP in person for the 26th annual Triangle Race for the Cure,” said Amy Charney, community development and operations for North Carolina. “We’re so grateful for our supporters’ participation in and enthusiasm for virtual events, but we’re looking forward to being able to gather together, again, as one community, united and committed to ending breast cancer forever.” The Race for the Cure will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2022, and is locally presented by Duke Cancer Institute. Race organizers will host a virtual kick-off on Tuesday, March 1 at 6pm, to share more information about the Race and tips for fundraising. Join the virtual kick-off here. Special recognition will be given to top fundraisers on Race day. The Power of ONE Week – a week’s worth of events to honor those who have been impacted by breast cancer – will precede the Race on April 30. A schedule of events and additional details will be announced soon.
