Oct. 2 Event Raises Money To Support Breast Cancer Patients Susan G. Komen®, the world’s leading breast cancer organization, today announced that it will hold a MORE THAN PINK Walk this fall. The Walk will be held at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson on Sunday, Oct. 2. “We are excited to welcome Walk participants in person this year and provide a community for anyone who has been impacted by breast cancer. Funds raised from this event will further Komen’s work to break down barriers to timely, affordable care, especially for members of the Black community, through Komen’s health equity program, Stand for H.E.R. – a Health Equity Revolution – which provides access to screening and diagnostic imaging,” said Suzanne Corson, State Executive Director of New Jersey at Susan G. Komen. There is no fee to register for this year’s Walk. The event is made possible thanks to our generous sponsors: AbbVie, BD, Hackensack Meridian Health, RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, ShopRite, New Jersey Education Association, Arctic Air Conditioning, Bloomberg, Horizon BlueCross BlueShield, Kent, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Natera, NJM Insurance Group, Pfizer, Princeton Radiology, Regional Cancer Care Associates, Wawa and Wegmans. The Power of ONE Week – a week’s worth of events to honor those who have been impacted by breast cancer – will precede the Walk on Oct. 2. A schedule of in-person and virtual events and additional details will be announced soon.
