New Fundraising Campaign Asks People to Dress Up To Take Down Breast Cancer

Are you looking for a fun way to engage with your colleagues while raising funds for a worthy cause? Susan G. Komen’s Do It Yourself (DIY) fundraising is rolling out its first campaign, one that is designed to make meetings fun while also raising funds that will help save lives and support breast cancer research.

Komen’s Dress Up To Take Down meeting challenge is an easy way for employees to create their own Komen fundraiser in the workplace.

Participating in the Dress Up To Take Down Breast Cancer meeting challenge is easy. When you create your own fundraiser page, Komen provides you with a toolkit that includes everything you need to have a successful fundraiser, including:

  • a summary of Komen’s impact on the fight against breast cancer
  • Zoom backdrops to be used during your meeting
  • logos, sample emails, sample social media posts and images to use when promoting your challenge
  • answers to Frequently Asked Questions

Once you designate a Dress Up meeting, you can shape the challenge to fit your needs, whether you’re meeting virtually or in person. As the meeting host and leader of the fundraiser challenge, you decide what you want the Dress Up part to be—have fun and be whimsical! When someone makes a donation, they’re able to dress up however you choose—maybe in party clothes, all pink or a favorite team jersey.
